The 1st SIP Football Super League kicked off on the football field in Wenyuan Apartments complex in SIP on Nov 22, drawing an enthusiastic crowd.
Sponsored by SIP Culture, Sports and Tourism Office and organized by Dushu Lake Culture and Sports Development Co Ltd with the support from Suzhou Football Association, the event marks a milestone in SIP’s sports culture.
The opening ceremony started with vibrant cheerleading performances, followed by a kick-off by invited guests.
The teams from Loufeng, Xietang, Weiting, Shengpu and Jinji Lake sub-districts, each consisting of elites from different industries and community residents, are scheduled to compete in 14 matches that will last till next month.
In the opening matches, the Shengpu Sub-district Team triumphed over the Jinji Lake Sub-district Team with a 3-1 victory, while the Weiting Sub-district Team secured a decisive 5-1 victory against the Loufeng Sub-district Team.
